Refiner’s
Fire . . .
We’ve stood on the past and
looked into the future and it is now. In
this rapidly changing world in which we live, one very powerful way to connect
with church is through small groups.
Church is full of small groups; Sunday School Classes, Women’s WMU Circles,
Baptist Men’s Mission, Youth Group, Children’s Ministry, Committees, and
more. In fact, we are having a Missions
Fair this Sunday where we can learn about many different missions in our
community, which our church is involved.
This will serve to educate and
encourage you to participate in some mission centered activity. You can interact with other Christians as you
serve the Lord together. These small
groups provide support, insight, spiritual growth, friendship and a mission. In a small group, we learn more about the
larger group of which we are apart.
Serving Christ and serving in the name of Christ can both be exercised.
In the rapidly changing world, we must
find away to build relationships that have the influence to change us for the
better. Serving the Lord is the right
place to start. If you find yourself
being a leader you realize you are the ones building the future for the better.
You are helping others make the necessary changes in their lives for spiritual
growth. Lead, follow or get in the
middle. Seek to be part of a small group
this year from the beginning.
