Financial Ministry

The Financial Ministry of First Baptist Church is accomplished through many avenues of giving.  Whether by weekly or monthly tithing, by envelope, direct deposit, or EBT, we strive to make giving an easy process for all.  For more information on direct tithing visit your bank’s website to establish recurring direct giving.

“I appeal to you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your Spiritual worship.  Do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that  you may prove what  the will of God is, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”

ROMANS 12:1-2

“Tithing is about worship and presenting an offering before God. Having studied the significance of the theology of worship, our offerings are the reflection of our love and devotion to God. It isn’t a payment or a purchase of good will. From these offerings the church can care for the needs of others from educational needs for spiritual maturing to actual physical needs for those lacking resource. These gifts insure that God gets the credit for the gifts of kindness.”

“We teach kids that giving involves more than just money. It’s an act of worship and it involves our whole life. Because worship isn’t just about singing loud, it’s about living loud. The time and the fun we share with kids are making a history worth repeating for kids in Upward and FBC Kids and Summer Camps. The words and stories we share with kids are building character that lives out Jesus’ words. The time, money and resources we give to Backpack, to FBC Kids and to Upward are creating a lasting legacy by showing our community that love does things because Jesus changes everything from our actions to our wallets. When we give, no matter how much, we share the character of God with those around us.”
